After a quick review of their rather large list of prohibited items, I see nothing there that would make me think this was in any kind of violation. And, AFAIK, he was not breaking the law.

So, why did ebay pull this auction? help?

I wasn't bidding to win. I was bidding because I want to support the market place of zero-day-ebay actions. So as long as I thought somebody would pay more, preventing me from winning, I was willing to raise the stakes.

I'm told that some call this "greater fool" theory of investing.
